ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY Teaser Trailer

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

That phrase has been long associated with the saga films, which they are now called, as the opening to a new Star Wars adventure. For generations we only knew of the Skywalker saga and have only heard about other events in history but have never actually seen them. It was only a few years ago that Disney bought Lucasfilm and we were not only promised new saga films but spin-off films that will expand the universe. The possibilities were endless as fans began to wonder what stories they could tell. The Old Republic. Young Han Solo. A stand alone Boba Fett story. A Yoda story. Life Day...just kidding. The first film is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Lucasfilm has unveiled the official teaser trailer, a teaser poster and stills for the film which opens December 16, 2016.

Lucasfilm’s Rogue One, which takes place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, tells the story of unlikely heroes who have united to steal plans to the dreaded Death Star.

The cast includes Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, and Forest Whitaker. "Rogue One" is directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla), produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur, and Simon Emanuel, executive produced by John Knoll and Jason McGatlin, and co-produced by John Swartz and Kiri Hart.
